Let your creativity flow as you step into the wonderful world of Zentangle Mindful Drawing.  The Zentangle Method is an easy-to-learn, relaxing, and fun way to create beautiful black and white images by drawing structured patterns. These patterns are called tangles and offer an infinite number of possibilities.  Our class will take inspiration from the world around us at the NACC: nature, art, architecture and more to identify tangles and build on them for our very own art creations.

This class is for all ages and makes a great experience to share with loved ones.  All supplies will be provided by the NACC; just come with your curiosity and unlock an artistic world through the structure of Zentangle!

About Chrissy (Certified Zentangle Teacher)

Hello! In November 2020, I became a Certified Zentangle Teacher, trained by the founders of Zentangle Mindful Drawing, Rick Roberts, and Maria Thomas. After retiring from a 30-year career in retail, I was seeking an engaging activity in The Villages, Florida. My college background includes Art History, Fine Arts, and Commercial Art. Drawing and painting have always been passions of mine, though I had set them aside during my career. One day, while perusing the local newspaper, I stumbled upon an article about Zentangle, featuring an interview with the instructor. It seemed like the perfect fit for me, so I immediately enrolled in the course. And the rest is history!

I guide students through the Zentangle method in classrooms at local recreation centers, art schools, and senior centers, in addition to conducting private and on-line sessions.  For me, the Zentangle method of mindful drawing is an ideal blend – it offers an opportunity to explore my creativity and express myself by sharing it with others. The most rewarding aspect of instructing Zentangle is witnessing the expressions of confidence and achievement on my students’ faces!
