The Woodbox Theatre 

Our Woodbox theatre, with seating for 75, offers a more intimate atmosphere, great for plays, concerts, comedy shows, poetry slams, recitals, or work-shopping your new play.

 

The Western Door Playhouse is the resident theater group of the Woodbox Theatre at the Niagara Arts and Culture Center located at 1201 Pine at Portage Niagara Falls NY.

The Woodbox Theater a 72-seat theater that draws audience and actors together to create an intimate theatrical experience.  The former library at the old Niagara Falls High School boasts a warm and inviting wood interior and comfortable seating.  Located on the 3rd floor of the NACC- an elevator is available.

Western Door Playhouse is once again offering a wonderful season of comedy, music and drama.  Support local theater in a building dedicated to the arts!

Western Door Playhouse actors are working hard to be ready for opening night of All Through the Night,  a locally written play by L. Don Swartz directed by Robert and Sharon Priest.  The cast : Sam Granieri , Sharon Priest, David Lewis,  Karima Silvernail,  Sami Carol, Abigail Grace Grawe, Houlden Caulfield, Caleb Lewis, Chris Burns, Jeanetta Lewis, Victoria McKenzie Isabella Ramunno, Ethan Lewis, Brandon Minicucci Amanda Molinaro and Jayden Hooks .  There will be an opening night reception.

  • All Through the Night, written by L. Don Swartz directed by Robert Priest: an unusual Christmas story.   Runs 11/22/2019 to 12/1/2019.

  • Cash on Delivery, written by Michael Cooney directed by Brian Dana, a British Farce   runs  5/15/2020 to 5/24/2020.
