THE NACC IS ON A FASHION MISSION!
Join us for our 4th Annual Wearable Art Fashion Show this fall. We are now accepting your unique creations for this exciting wearable art extravaganza.
The event will take place on Veterans Day, so as a tribute to the Armed Forces, and in honor of the declaration of the end of the Great War. We encourage artists and designers to express their freedom and to fight back against the isolation of the Covid-19 world. Be inspired by those who have served on our behalf and fought for a better life for all of us. We hope you will challenge your imaginations with categories including:
Veterans of Fashion
Returning Heroes! Retro Fashion, Pin Up Girls & Bugle boys, USO dancers, red, white and blue, stars & stripes.
Fashion Warriors & Heroes:
Armor Up, and Dress to Impress for this wearable art runway show! Show us your vision of a hero: be inspired from gladiators to suffragettes, from the comic universe to everyday heroes. These warriors are ready to take on the challenges of today and the future with grace and strength!
Incognito
Heroes often use disguises to prevail, so shall these fashions! This category incorporates modern interpretations of camouflage, including fashions with a “reveal” moment. You can include body paint inspirations, moving parts, electronics, or monotone masterpieces.
·Surplus to Fabulous:
Our trademark upcycled scene incorporates things that are often discarded, surplus materials, and unconventional materials. Be a modern day champion by reimagining items to create a piece that will leave the crowd guessing what you used. This piece must be made of at least 75% found, salvaged,repurposed, or recycled materials.
Victory Ball:The grand finale! Show us the how victorious fashion can be by incorporating glitz and glamour. Picture this show-stopping design on the red carpet and strut your stuff for this shining moment.

Mission: Fashion Fantasy! Wearable Art Runway Show
A Red Carpet Event: wearable art pieces from a variety of fashion designers presented on the runway. These are not typical apparel, but rather a movable gallery where artists can push the boundaries of wearable art design.
This 4th annual Art of Fashion design competition and runway show returns with incredible couture creations by 20 local designers being worn by over 60+ models.
Runway and VIP Models may register online or at a Designer GoSee
We are looking for models of varying shapes, sizes, and genders. Modeling experience preferred, but not required.
NACC EVENT PARKING
Please view our parking map for parking information. Loading and unloading of equipment and materials can take place in our YELLOW DOOR parking lot.
Free parking is available all around the NACC building.
- RED DOORS The PUBLIC ENTRANCE to the BUILDING IS LOCATED ON THE PORTAGE ROAD SIDE.
- ALL OTHER DOORS REQUIRE KEY ACCESS.
- DO NOT PARK in the NACC Loading Dock / Handicap Parking Lot, as this space will be used for loading in and out of equipment for the day of the event.
