Through the generous support of the New York State Council on the Arts (NYSCA), the NACC aims to provide affordable rehearsal spaces to performing artists in the local community to foster a more vibrant artistic landscape. If you are a performing artist – or know of one – that needs rehearsal space, the NACC is ready to host you.

Please note – this program is for REHEARSALS and not for events or workshops, public events or events with paid attendance. Please inquire about our short term rental fees for those types of programs.

Key Details

  • Rehearsal space can be booked for a reduced rate of $5/hr. All bookings are in two (2hr) hour increments. No exceptions.
  • Payment is due at time of booking via Stripe, online.
  • Payment is non-refundable and non transferable.
  • Individuals and groups can rent space for up to 100 hours within a calendar year for the reduced rate. Anything beyond that threshold will be invoiced at full NACC rental rates.
  • There is no subletting to other’s with bookingsIf someone else is in your group with the booking they must be noted on the information request section when booking rehearsal space.
  • All applicants are expected to clean up following their rental. Those who do not do so will be invoiced a $50.00 cleaning fee.
  • Any rehearsal group which is running late on their booked times are not allowed to extend the use of the space due to the late arrival
  • All bookings are non-refundable and non-transferableThere are no refunds, or credit towards rebooking if you cannot make the scheduled time you reserved. Thank you for understanding.

*Maximum of 100 hours of rehearsal time per individual/group between now and Dec 31, 2026. Beyond 100 hours, standard rental rates apply.

Our Rehearsal Spaces

Legacy Theatre

The NACC’s crown jewel. Stage space is 44 feet wide; 32  feet of depth from the drip line to the back wall with a 9 foot apron. Perfect for large theatre, opera, and dance rehearsals.
Please note: Construction will begin January 2026

Woodbox Theatre

A more intimate rehearsal venue ideal for small ensembles and performing arts rehearsals for 2 – 20 people. 25 feet wide by 30 feet deep.

Studio 242

An intimate rehearsal venue measuring 24 ft. wide and 30 feet deep with 15 foot ceilings. Ideal for small ensembles and smaller performing arts pieces (2 – 15 people). Hardwood floors, mirrors, and plenty of natural light.

The Gym

Multi-use space with 3,840 feet of uninterrupted space (80 x 48 feet) and 26 foot ceilings. Can accommodate most any performing arts rehearsal with numbers ranging from 2 – 200.

Room 234 A
Perfect size for reading lines, auditions, small group rehearsals. Smart TV, post-it easel and chalkboard available.

Please note: space is being offered at a reduced rate of $5/hour when booking through our rental site for up to 100 hours per organization/ individual. Bookable in two hour increments as a minimum no exceptions. Anything beyond 100 hours for the calendar year will be invoiced at our full rental rate. Rentals must be paid in advance unless arrangements have been made through the NACC office. No refunds are given for unused time.
