The Niagara Arts & Cultural Center (NACC) is pleased to announce the launch of a new community arts program on March 12, 2025. These special, inclusive, arts and cultural events, called “Memory Cafes”, are designed to welcome those experiencing memory loss, their caregivers, partners and family to find joyful respite opportunities, and to build community while enjoying a variety of arts experiences.
With this new program we are seeking volunteers to assist in facilitating twice monthly Memory Cafes at the NACC. All NACC Meet Me at the Gallery, Memory Cafe sessions will take place from 11:00AM-12:00PM, and all are free and open to the public.
To become a volunteer please email the Executive Director, Jennifer at jennifer@thenacc.org, however, no prior registration is necessary to attend.

What is a Memory Café?
Memory cafés are welcoming social gatherings for people living with changes in their memory or thinking, and the people who care about them. A Memory Café is a place to have fun together, talk with others who understand what you’re going through, and to try something new!

Timeslips is a communication method that invites people into meaningful creative engagement. It can enliven any conversation – remotely or in-person. Originally designed for people with dementia, it has been applied across generations, cultures, and abilities.
